Our tenancy agreement expires in a few months time and we are thinking of moving again because of the distance from school. I am getting tired of driving so far for everything. Initially, it was fun staying in this area and it felt like having a vacation.
But now, reality sets in and I am so tired of all this. I feel like selling everything I own now and get cheaper and less bulky modern furniture so that I can get a nice little flat near to where all the facilities and conveniences are.
Previously, I live in an apartment with a swimming pool. The pool is well maintained but we dislike the pigeons that landed on the pool side for a drink of water. Their pigeons droppings are health hazards so I usually disallow my children to swim there too often.
There is nothing much that can be done to shoo away the pigeons. Now, we have moved to a landed property and there is no more swimming pool for us. My kids are beginning to pester me to go back to a property with swimming pool.
I am not so sure I want to do that again. What’s the point of having a pool and not swimming in them? It will be pretty wasted, isn’t it?

Yesterday, I read from somewhere that when a woman gets older, her level of progesterone or female hormone reduces. She will have more male hormones instead, which is testosterone takes over.
So, this is to say that when a woman gets older, she gets more cynical, less trusting and less bitchy too? I don’t know about this but I do agree that as we get older, we get wiser and we are not so easily fooled. I can’t say for sure if this is due to hormones or just being wiser.

Sometimes, we like to scold people with ‘What’s the matter with you? You live in the jungle or something?’
But if you think about it, it must be really nice to live in the jungle. It is cooling, have lots of fresh air, greeneries, natural beauties like gurgling brooks, dragonflies, butterflies, wild flowers and more.
What I would do to have a log cabin in the jungle where I can stay comfortablly with some nice log furniture. In the morning, I can go out and hunt for my food. Or hire a hunter to do that for me.
In the evening, I can sit by the fireplace, watching the stars.
When I am on holiday, the most memorable hours are the sunset hours. I just love to have holidays where I can see the sun setting. It is probably my favourite hours because that’s when day turn into dusk. It is the end of a busy day and I am looking forward to a relaxing night.
Though I love sunrise, I rarely can get up early enough to enjoy them. So, it is always sunset for me.
I attended an event the other day and it is about green building. The architects and surveyors were talking at length about green building and how it helps the environment and so on.
So, I asked those gentlemen there who are in their three piece suits, and all what is a green building and which are the green buildings. I expect an easy answer to my very basic questions. But unfortunately, they went on and on about things that are so foreign to me.
Firstly, they cannot quote what is a green building. Next, they cannot tell me any significant buildings which are green building. So, all I get is a sea of confusing terms.
Maybe if I asked to buy a green building home, I may find a few agents who can introduce to me. Do you think Tamarindo Real Estate have such homes where things are self-sustainable.
It is horrific that a modern city like Bangkok could be torn apart with fighting. Last I read a whole Central Plaza have burned down.
Now, this is such a scary reminder to us that nothing is safe. Our homes could potentially ended up in smoke, washed away in water or torn apart by earthquakes. Life is just at touch and go situation. So, no amount of cheap home insurance will help if such things happen.
Times like these, we need faith to sustain us.

I just read the news that the interest rate is going up a bit. For me, it is a sigh of relief because I have savings but no borrowing. At my age, I want the interest rates to be higher so that the money I have in the bank can generate more money.
However, it doesn’t look like I can generate much because the interest rate has remain so low for so long. I should have listen to my friend and buy gold bullion as investment.
According to the website, the price of gold has remained stable through the decades and buying gold is a wise decision. Meantime, I shall just keep watching the interest rates until I have more money to invest in gold.
